Your Trip

The University of Dayton’s annual Dayton 2 Daytona trip has been a staple of the school’s campus culture for over 30 years. Founded in 1977, the tradition brings together 2,000 upper-class students for a week of pool parties, concerts, club events, and general relaxation in Daytona Beach, FL.

Frequently Asked Questions

When can I check-in to my hotel?

Check-in will run from 1pm to 5pm on the first day of the trip. Every individual group will receive a designated check-in time roughly 1 week before the start of trip. On a related note, the hotel check-out process will begin at 8am on the final day of the trip.

Does the price of the trip include transportation?

No. Students are responsible for finding their own transportation to and from Daytona.

What is the best way to get down there?

While some students elect to drive, the majority opt to fly. For the students who take flights, the Daytona Beach and Orlando airports serve as viable options for a final destination.

Can friends from other school come to Daytona?

No. Only University of Dayton juniors and graduating seniors, and those who graduated in December 2013 may attend. See Eligibility link on website for more info.

Where can I get some sweet D2D Swag?

We’re glad you’ve asked. You can pickup D2D merchandise here.

How many people can stay in a single hotel room?

Guests can be accommodated in 2, 3, 4, or 5 person arrangements. Note, however, that the cost of the trip (per person) increases if fewer than 5 guests occupy a given room

How much extra 'spending money' should I bring?

It will depend on the individual. However, $200-$300 will get the average person through the week without issue.

Do I have to be 21 to attend Dayton 2 Daytona?

No, D2D is open to all Junior and Senior students in good standing. Obviously, however, you must be 21 to legally consume alcohol at any point.

Kelly Fulkerson

“D2D is by far one of my favorite traditions at the University of Dayton. There is no better way to celebrate the end of the year and send off the seniors then by a week on the pool deck with all of your friends.”

- Kelly Fulkerson
Maeve Coleman

“It’s hard to put into words what it’s really like to experience all that comes with the name. Friends from home often ask me about the trip and I always tell them that nothing I say will ever do it justice.”

- Maeve Coleman
Deanna Tomaselli

“D2D has been an unforgettable experience that we love to brag about, because it’s so much more than your typical ‘college spring break trip.’ There’s nothing better then celebrating the end of the school year in beautiful weather with all of your best friends for five straight days.”
